Arithmetic, not advice. It sizes a position from numbers you type — it has no market data, no view on any instrument, and no idea whether your stop is sensible. Nothing you enter leaves your browser. Funding is charged on notional every 8 hours, so a leveraged multi-day hold can spend a large share of its risk budget on carry alone.

Why funding gets its own line

Crypto units are fractional, so sizing is the easy part — the maths gives you a number and you can take exactly that number.

The part that gets missed is carry. Perp funding is charged on notional, not on margin, every eight hours. A position sized to risk 1% can spend a meaningful share of that 1% on funding alone before price does anything at all, and the share doesn't shrink when you lower your risk — the account size cancels out of the ratio. That's why it's a headline number here rather than a footnote.
